Ignore it.
| It's a good thing that the snow hasn't started to fall *yet* or I'd have to actually do something here! Coming are links, info, and (maybe) conditions for the ski areas here in the Northeast. Killington is already making snow, and it's just the first week of October. That's just nuts. |
I like snow. Snow is good. If we could divert snow from the roads onto the slopes, I'd be happy if it were winter all year. Why? Because you can do something about cold weather. Wear a coat. Put on a hat. Basically, you can pretty easily deal with cold and snow. Now if it's hot, what can you do? Even if you strip down to the point where you're showing more skin than the world would like to see, you're still hot, and now you're sunburned too. Stay inside with air conditioning is all you have left. Well, I'd rather be playing in the snow, thank you. |

| Until there are huge blowing drifts of stinging, blinding snow whistling down the JEC walkway at 50 mph I don't feel quite right walking across campus. I actually resorted to wearing my ski goggles going to class a few times last winter. I wasn't the only one. |
I ski. But that doesn't mean I automatically dislike snowboarders. I plan on taking some boarding lessons this season to see where I should dump my next $500- new skis or a snowboard? Maybe keep my skis and snowboard too? Well, why not? Or maybe skiboards? Those look fun too. Damnit, winter needs to last longer! |

There's a sign in the West Mountain lodge that might its only redeeming feature. It reads:
